A little treat from the Crossing Guard

I love the kids I cross for school!!! They are great bunch of kids from the neighborhood! The older ones are a bit grumpy in the mornings but I get it - your a teenager and its before 9:30 AM. so tonight Im sitting here at my desk in Microsoft Word making something for all of them on Halloween.
I started with a print out of some street safety tips and some labels. Oh - and I pulled out some stickers too.
I thought It was my responsibility to just remind them of some safety rules of the road and below is what i came up with. I hope you can read it. I tried to turn it into a downloadable PDF file. But I need to learn how to do that one. If anybody has a tip on that I would love for you to share!!!
Or if anyone wants a copy of these tips I would be happy to send them to you in an email.

And after going to my local Dollar Tree store ( one of my fav places in town!) I got some reflective stickers!!! Aren't they cool?!!
and  of course a bit of candy is in the mix for them all.
I pulled out a bunch of small zip lock bags to put this all together. I've had them in my cupboard for who knows how long and I was glad to finally use a good bunch of them.
I stuck the labels on the back of the reflector stickers.....
and put a little bit of all of it in the plastic bags with a pumpkin sticker!!
Ill bring it on Monday to the corner with me in my 6$ beach bag. (Target)

Its just a little part time job but I love going above and beyond! Especially for kids!
Feel free to share my "street smart" safety tips with your little ones for Halloween! Sometimes we forget these things and its good to be reminded!
I hope you all have a great AND SAFE Halloween!

Are you a Scarf fan????

HI Gang!!! I have been soo busy the past couple of months.
I've been getting used to a whole new schedule with now having 2 jobs and all - its been a bit exhausting.
If you didn't know, my one little job is crossing guard for the kids here in my neighborhood! Its a great job!! It doesn't pay much but I have a fantastic group of kids and I love seeing their happy faces every morning!.
I'm out there every weekday at around 7:30 AM. This is not something my internal clock is used to but I'm pushing myself.
The only drawbacks about it is the weather! I'm out there for an hour! One in the morning and then again in the afternoon. Standing out there has got me wearing some thin scarves lately.
Do any of you embrace the scarf as more than just a neck warmer?? - I do!!! not only do I love to keep myself warmer in the mornings while I'm out there crossing my little buddies but I LOVE to take a plain colored shirt (mostly black for me) and jazz it up a bit with a pretty interesting scarf.
This interest lead me to this AWESOME video!!

There are soooo many ideas here!!!!! & i think this is perfect for fall weather!

I currently only have 2 fancy scarves. This one bellow was a Target purchase about a year ago.
I love the blues and greens in it! Isn't she gorgeous!!
My 2nd scarf I have had a while and I don't remember where I got it because It was the first of the 2 but I remember purchasing it because it wasn't gaudy but still sparkled!

I hope to get some more scarves or even give some for X-mas this year.
Could you imagine a scarf with the link to that video as a gift!!! It would be perfect!!!
